Health Education Coordinator
(18 hours/week) – The primary job goal is to help lead and provide support for health related education, trainings and clinics for Senior Services. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required. Computer proficiency in Word and a database management program such as Excel is preferred. This position coordinates health education program offerings and health clinics at the Agency’s five Centers along with care partner education and internal trainings in CPR/AED. Must possess excellent people skills and be a lifelong learner. Ideal candidate would have a nursing degree or degree in another health care profession. Strong experience level in education and a health care field will be considered.

Head Cook – Coleman Activity & Dining Center
415 E. Webster St | Coleman, MI
(35 hours/week) – Senior Services provides a wide array of services needed to help people age in Midland County, including providing home-bound seniors or seniors who enjoy eating in a group setting, a hot and nutritious meal each day! Our Nutrition Department is seeking a head cook to prepare and serve meals at the Coleman Dining Center (congregate) and prep for Meals on Wheels deliveries. The ideal candidate for this role is a team-player, self-motivated, has customer service experience and strong interpersonal communication skills. Our goal is to serve appetizing, attractive, and nutritionally-balanced meals for seniors. Food Service experience is required, which includes reading and understanding standardized recipes, quantity food production, portion control, food ordering, inventory and supervision. Applicant must have, or willing to obtain, SERVSAFE Certification, along with High School diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. Benefits include competitive pay, paid sick/vacation time, insurance, and a free daily lunch meal. Hours are Monday-Friday (no weekends). Part time (29 hours /week) – Senior Services provides a wide array of services needed to help people age in Midland County, including providing home-bound seniors or seniors who enjoy eating in a group setting, a hot and nutritious meal each day! Our Nutrition Department is seeking assistant cook(s) to assist with the preparation, serving, and packaging of Congregate Meals and Meals on Wheels for seniors of Midland County. The ideal candidate for this role is a team-player, has customer service experience, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Our goal is to serve appetizing, attractive, and nutritionally-balanced meals for seniors. Experience in the food service industry such as cooking, restaurant, or commercial meal preparation is preferred but not required. Applicant must have, or willing to obtain, SERVSAFE Certification, along with High School diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
