Join Director of Education and Outreach, Trena Winans, for an enlightening session about Alzheimer’s disease and other related forms of dementia. This informative presentation will discuss the basics including what dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are, their symptoms and stages, and how they are diagnosed and treated. This program provides a primer of background information that is helpful knowledge for other sessions focused on communication, challenges, and therapeutic engagement.

Class will be offered in-person and via Zoom/Phone simultaneously. In-person limited to the first 9 who request that option, with a mask, temperature check, screening form, and physical distancing required during class. The class will also be broadcast live on Zoom and phone call-in.
