If you’ve ever been to the Tall Ship Celebration in Bay City, or strolled along the Saginaw River downtown, you have probably seen one or both of the Appledore tall ships owned and operated by BaySail. Here’s your chance to learn more about the many activities and educational opportunities this local nonprofit has been providing to learners of all ages since 1998. We’ll even explore plans for the return of Tall Ship Celebration in July 2019!
BaySail was established in 1998 with the purchase of the 85-foot schooner Appledore IV and increased capacity for programming in 2003 with the addition of the Appledore V. Since the beginning, BaySail’s primary purpose has been to provide hands-on, environmental science experiences on the waters of the Saginaw River and Saginaw Bay. Come learn more about this great organization and the opportunities they offer to our community!
