Demystifying Dementia: Understanding the Basics Book Online

Join Season’s Program Manager, Kari Herman, BSN, RN-BC for an enlightening session about Alzheimer’s disease and other related forms of dementia. This informative presentation will discuss the basics including what dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are, their symptoms and stages, and how they are diagnosed and treated. This program provides a primer of background information that is helpful knowledge for other sessions focused on communication, challenges and therapeutic engagement.

For all caregiver classes, if you are caring for another person and are not previously registered with Senior Services as a caregiver, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out a brief form. Light refreshments will be provided. Respite scholarships may be available. If requesting respite care, notify when registering.
